A Commitment to Zero Food Waste
At Juan Ramón Jiménez HLHI, values-based education and environmental respect go hand in hand. The Rexcatering project is a pioneering initiative focused on recovering surplus food from school canteens.
Our goal is to achieve zero food waste. Cooked meals that end up not being served in the dining hall are safely packaged and made available to all citizens through vending machines completely free of charge.
Through this project, we transform potential waste into a resource for the community, teaching our students the importance of a circular economy, solidarity, and responsible consumption.
