Intergenerational Project
"La Paz" Day Center
Encounters between youth and elders
In our school, 5th and 6th grade Primary students make biweekly visits to the La Paz day center to share activities with the neighborhood's grandparents. It is not a residential home, but a daytime care space that allows for the creation of enriching generational bonds.
During these sessions, students and elders enjoy games (such as bingo), crafts, and celebrations of local traditions like Santa Águeda together.
These actions strengthen emotional relationships, allowing students to work on respect, empathy, and social skills in a completely natural and community-based way.
